| Bruno Wildhaber, Principal Consultant Dr. jur., CISA / CISM Started his IT career as a HW support engineer for middle and large scale systems with Sperry Univac. Inspired by the idea that law and Information Technology would make a strange but successful combination, he decided to study law. He then joined a small investment bank in Zurich as head of their IT audit group. In 1990 he passed the CISA (Certified IS Auditor) exam issued by ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association). During his audit engagement, he wrote a doctoral thesis on the legal aspects of information security in Switzerland and received his Ph.D. In law in 1993. He then became a member of the management board and shareholder of r3 security engineering ag. He built and expanded r3's consulting unit including a branch office in Karlsruhe, Germany. r3 was a renowned security consulting, product and services company which was mainly active in Switzerland and Germany. In 1998, the 45 employee company was acquired by Entrust Technologies Inc., a spin off of Nortel (Canada). After the merger, Dr. Wildhaber was responsible for strategic planning and business development. End of 1998 he decided to start his own enterprise as a management consultant and financial investor in the IT Security industry. He is a CEO of two E-Commerce Security Companies and represents Switzerland in the European Information and Communications Technology Industry Association (EICTA; www.eicta.org) as digital signature expert. From 1999 to August 2002, he was founding partner and CEO of a Digital Signature Company. In 2002 it became obvious that IT Governance would become of even more importance. Together with partners in Europe and South Africa he founded the IT Governance Network. 2004 became the year where the Records Management competence centre was founded and the first swiss practice guide was published. In 2003 Dr. Wildhaber and the University of St. Gallen (Institute of information management) started a co-operation in the area of IT Governance and records management. Dr. Wildhaber is an advirsory board member to ITSMF's itGA (it Governance Association). Many publications and presentations have been produced which can be accessed either on this site or on the web.
